Deborah Maufi

Consultant

Dr. Deborah Maufi is a technical consultant on menstrual health and hygiene (MHH), and sexual & reproductive health and rights (SRHR) initiatives and strategy at PSI-Europe.

Dr. Deborah holds a decade of experience working with startups and NGOs to bring interventions aimed at improving SRHR and maternal & newborn health outcomes in LMICs, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. She brings this experience to bear on PSI's efforts to advance MHH as a component of SRHR through advocacy and communications. Deborah is motivated by a strong conviction that improving access to health information and education is the stepping stone toward improving everyone's health. She has supported women's health and health technology for low-resource settings over the years, bridging the knowledge and education gap between healthcare professionals and communities, and empowering marginalized groups to attain their SRH potential as a human right and (in support of) maternal and newborn health.

Dr. Deborah holds a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She is recognized as one of HIMSS Future50 Clinical Leaders - 2021, a public speaker, and an advocate for gender health equity.
